| The sauna is the genuine Finnish tradition and way of life, which was spread out of Finland’s territory in the 70's of the 19th century. Since then, it has become one of the classic heat SPA procedures and nowadays it is represented in every SPA centre .
The sauna is a comparatively small room, paneled in wood, which normally is heated to approximately 100°С. The heating of the sauna is done by means of special electric heaters or wood-burning heaters . In these heaters there are volcanic stones, which detain and disperse the heat, but which also have a very specific aroma. This aroma, in combination with the smell of wood and the aromatizers in the water, creates the beautiful experience of the sauna. The traditional sauna is characterized by high temperature and low humidity in contrast to the steam bath , where the temperature reaches up to 40 – 50 degrees С, and the humidity of the air is 100%. The procedure in the sauna requires the alternation of high heating of the body and the sharp cooling, which at first glance seems unbearable for the human organism. But when you plunge your heated body in the ice or the contrast facilities (adventure showers, shock buckets, pools, ice rooms, snow cabins etc.), you will feel the incredible effect of relaxation and a flow of energy .
